Over 11 Lakh Migrants Have Reached Home By Shramik Special Trains

The Indian Railways has run 932 Shramik Special trains since May 1, taking home more than 11 lakh stranded migrant workers from various parts of the country.

Most trains were received by Uttar Pradesh followed by Bihar.

 

The 932 Shramik Special trains terminated in various states such as Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

Additionally, the Indian Railways confirmed that it has received approval for over 1000 Shramik Special trains.

Uttar Pradesh has approved 526 trains, followed by Bihar which has agreed for 269 and Madhya Pradesh has given the nod for 81 trains.
