Big News for Indian Railways! If all goes well, passengers will be able to travel from Nagpur to Mumbai in just under 5 hours.
On Monday, 16th July 2018, Rail Minister Piyush Goyal announced the construction of a dedicated high-speed railway line alongside the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Expressway called Samruddhi Mahamarg.
Currently, its takes around 13.2 hours to cover the distance between the two cities by train.
The Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway, which is a 700 km long project, is likely to be developed at a cost of Rs.46,000 crore.
