Here are the seven new features:
1) It will be able to achieve acceleration from the speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 52 seconds, with a maximum speed of 180 kmph.
Recently, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video on Twitter showing how during a trial run in Rajasthan, the new Vande Bharat Express clocked a top speed of 180 kmph.

2) The train will weigh 392 tons, as compared to the previous 430 tons.
3) Wi-Fi content will be available on demand.
4) Passengers can enjoy 32-inch LCD TVs instead of 24-inch screens (earlier version).

5) To make travel more comfortable and sustainable, 15% more energy-efficient ACs with dust-free air cooling of traction motors will be introduced.
6) Side recliner seat facility which is currently available for Executive Class passengers will be provided to all classes in the Vande Bharat 2 trains.
7) A photo-catalytic ultraviolet air purification system will be installed in the Roof-Mounted Package Unit (RMPU) for air purification.
As per the recommendation of the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh, this system will be designed and fixed on both ends of the RMPU. This will filter and also clean the air, thereby making it free of germs, bacteria and viruses.
The new train is sure to cut down the time taken to travel between major Indian cities and also increase passenger convenience!
