The Indian Railways recently announced a new Vande Bharat Express. The train will be the second Vande Bharat of South India after the recently launched Chennai–Mysuru service. Scroll down to know more.

The Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development of Northeast Region, G. Kishan Reddy announced that the new train will be operated between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. No timeline has yet been confirmed for the project.
The Vande Bharat is a semi-high-speed train that has advanced features like LCD television, Wi-Fi content on demand and reclining seats. As of now, there are five of these services operating across the country.
Along with this, the South Central Railway also announced that the Secunderabad Railway Station will undergo a makeover. The station will be redeveloped in three phases for approximately INR 720 crore.
