Here’s a piece of good news for those who have been waiting for new train services. And the wait finally comes to an end with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagging off new train stations in a programme held at Rail Bhawan on June 22, 2016. The entire programme was conducted through video-conferencing.
The new train services flagged off include the following:
1. Inauguration of Tr. No. 13205/13206 Danapur-Saharsa ‘Janhit Express’ (Daily)
2. Extension of Tr. No. 15283/15284 Jaynagar-Saharsa Janki Express Upto Katihar (Daily)
3. Extension of Tr. No. 18697/18698 Patna-Murliganj Koshi Express upto Purnea Court (Daily)
4. Extension of 53581/53582 Jasidih-Chandan Passenger train upto Banka (First Passenger Train between newly constructed Chandan-Banka line)
Even Manoj Sinha, Minister of State for Railways, was also present to grace the occasion. As told by Prabhu, “The objective of the Indian Railways is to connect all citizens of the country by extending and commissioning new railway lines”.
Moreover, the extension will help improve the socio-economic condition of the people living in Bihar. He further added that the extensive railway lines will provide better connectivity to the state.
