Unlike the old terminal, which had only two x-ray baggage inspection systems for international and one for domestic operations, the new terminal features 15 x-ray baggage inspection systems exclusively for international passengers and four for domestic passengers, ensuring a congestion-free experience.

Out of the 10 aerobridges, five are ready for immediate use. In the next phase, officials plan to implement a contactless scanning infrastructure.

The new terminal building has been awarded a 4 out of 5 rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment due to its environmental friendliness. Additionally, the terminal’s parking area is equipped with facilities for charging electric vehicles.
