Local train services in Mumbai are all set to resume for the general public in fixed time slots from Monday, February 1, as per the latest order issued by the government of Maharashtra.
The trains, which are an essential service for lakhs of daily commuters, will be open for public use within certain time slots.

Book trainsGeneral public can board the local trains from the first service till 7 am, then from 12 pm to 4 pm and finally, from 9 pm to the last service.
Passengers must note that only essential services staff will be permitted to use the trains from 7 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 9 pm, as per the official order.
The authorities have requested all travellers to follow standard operating protocols including wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, etc., while at the railway station or onboard the trains.
The authorities have also requested the public to not crowd the railway stations if they are not among those allowed to travel at the given times.
