New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper Train to Start Soon!

Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce a new Vande Bharat Sleeper train from New Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir in January 2025, following the tremendous success of the Vande Bharat Express.

According to reports, the Vande Bharat Sleeper will cover longer distances and overnight journeys. Manufactured by BEML, a prototype of the train was unveiled by the Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, last month.

 

Details of the New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper Train

> The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of more than 800 km. 

> The distance will be covered in less than 13 hours.

> The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to depart at 19:00 hrs to reach Srinagar at 08:00 hrs.

> The train will stop at only a few major stations including Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawai, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan, and Banihal.

> New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper will have three types of accommodation for the passengers – AC 3 Tier (3A), AC 2 Tier (2A), and AC First Class (1A).

> The ticket price for travelling between New Delhi and Srinagar by Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset is expected to be around Rs 2000 for 3A, Rs 2500 for 2A, and Rs 3000 for 1A.
