Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce a new Vande Bharat Sleeper train from New Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir in January 2025, following the tremendous success of the Vande Bharat Express trains. Earlier, there were New Delhi to Jammu trains only on this route.

According to reports, the Vande Bharat Sleeper will cover longer distances and overnight journeys. Manufactured by BEML, a prototype of the train was unveiled by the Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, last month.
The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of more than 800 km in less than 13 hours. Presently, there are no such direct train services between the two destinations. With the launch of the Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper, Kashmir Valley will get first-time direct rail connectivity with New Delhi.
The New Delhi-Srinagar-New Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have 11 AC 3-tier coaches, four AC 2-tier coaches, and one First AC coach.
The Vande Bharat train ticket price to travel between New Delhi and Srinagar is expected to be around ₹2000 for 3A, ₹2500 for 2A, and ₹3000 for 1A.
As per the Vande Bharat train timing, the Vande Bharat sleeper train will depart at 19:00 hrs to reach Srinagar at 08:00 hrs. TheVande Bharat train route includes Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawai, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan, and Banihal as its stoppages.
