Good news for nature lovers and wildlife photographers!
Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have decided to open their national parks and tiger reserves for tourists. Madhya Pradesh tourism board confirmed that state’s national parks would open from June 15. They will implement all the safety guidelines as per the SOP issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
Rajasthan too has opened a few of its tiger reserves. They will operate as per the conditions laid out by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

Ranthambore National Park
Located near the Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, this park is famous for its tigers and is the best place to spot the gorgeous animal in its natural habitat. All visitors and drivers will have to wear masks, and social distancing norms will be practised at all times.
How to Reach: The nearest railway station is Sawai Madhopur (10 km). The nearest airport is in Jaipur (180 km).
Sariska National Park
Located in Alwar District in Rajasthan, Sariska promises a variety of wild animals as well as beautiful birds. Some of the animals one can spot here include leopard, sambhar, chital and the list is endless. Tigers and jungle cats are found in the Sariska tiger reserve. Please note: Children below 10 years and senior citizens over 65 years will not be allowed.
How to reach: The nearest railway station is Alwar (36 km). The closest airport is in Jaipur (110 km).
Bandhavgarh National Park
Located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh is famous for its population of Royal Bengal Tigers and Elephants. Rare animals such as leopards and sloth bears can also be spotted here.
How to reach: The nearest airport is Jabalpur (210 km). The nearest railway station is Umaria (37 km).
Kanha National Park
Located in the Maikal chain on hills, the Kanha National Park is spread across the area of 940 sq km. One can spot many wild creatures here such as tigers, barasingha, deers and wild dogs.
How to reach: The nearest railway station is Gondia (145 km) from where Kanha is a 3-hour drive. The nearest airport is in Jabalpur (177 km).
