Maximize Your Savings with ‘Pay with Points’: A Seamless Way to Redeem Rewards!

Have you ever found yourself sitting on a pile of reward points from various platforms, unsure how to use them or worse—watching them expire? You’re not alone. Many users are unaware of the points they’ve accumulated across different merchants, loyalty programs, and bank partners, making it challenging to utilize them effectively. But worry no more! With ixigo’s Pay with Points feature, powered by Twid, you can now effortlessly consolidate and redeem your points to save big on flights and train bookings.

What is Pay with Points?

Pay with Points is a game-changer that offers a seamless way to use your reward points from multiple loyalty programs. Whether you’ve earned points with Zillion, Supercoins, Intermiles, IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank, etc, you can apply them directly to your bookings for instant savings.

How Does Pay with Points Work for Train Booking?

The process is smooth, automatic, and designed to bring you delight in just a few steps:

  1. Select Your Booking: Choose the train journey you’d like to book on ixigo.
  2. Head to the Payment Page: Once you’re on the payment page, ixigo will use your mobile number to instantly retrieve any reward points linked to your account.
  3. See Your Rewards in Real-Time: The platform will automatically display and apply the available reward points you can use under the ‘Amount to be Paid’ section.
  4. Maximise Your Savings: The system prioritises the reward program offering the highest savings and shows it upfront.

How Does Pay with Points Work for Flight Booking?

  1. Select Your Booking: Choose the flight you’d like to book on ixigo.
  2. On the Flight Review page: Based on your eligibility and available reward points, a code is generated under the coupon section, combining ixigo’s instant discount and any eligible reward points linked to your mobile number.
  3. Apply the Code for Instant Savings: For bank points (e.g., IndusInd), the coupon is locked to that specific card, and payment must be made using the respective bank card. Whereas for a non-bank reward (e.g. Zillion, Supercoins etc.),  one can pay via any payment method.

Pay with Points: An Example

Let’s say you’ve chosen a train on ixigo and proceed to the payment page. If you’ve earned reward points via the IndusInd Bank, Zillion, or Intermiles, you’ll immediately see these points displayed, offering you a discount on your booking. If you select your IndusInd Bank reward points, for instance, you’ll need to complete the payment using your IndusInd Bank card to redeem those points.

This functionality works in real-time, so there’s no need to fumble through different apps or websites to check your points balance. Everything you need to know is right there—making your booking process faster and more rewarding!

Why Should You Use Pay with Points?

  1. Instant Savings: Every point counts! By redeeming your reward points, you lower your total payment instantly—giving you real-time savings.
  2. Consolidated Rewards: Instead of managing multiple reward systems separately, Pay with Points consolidates them all in one place, streamlining the process and maximising value.
  3. Effortless Redemption: There’s no need to keep track of your points manually. The system does it for you, displaying eligible rewards and savings during checkout.
  4. Available Across ixigo’s Platform: Whether you’re booking a flight or train, you can take advantage of this feature on the ixigo app.
