Our mango trail begins in the western state of Maharashtra, which is famous for producing the world-famous Alphonso mangoes. Ratnagiri and Devgad are the primary districts where Alphonso mangoes flourish. These mangoes are known for their rich, creamy texture, and unmatched sweetness. Exploring the orchards, participating in mango festivals, and relishing Alphonso-based delicacies are must-do activities here.
Gujarat – Home of Kesar Mangoes:
Moving northwards, we arrive in Gujarat, renowned for its aromatic and vibrant Kesar mangoes. Talala, located in the Gir forest region, is the epicenter of Kesar mango cultivation. The distinctive saffron-colored flesh and sweet flavour of Kesar mangoes make them a favorite among mango connoisseurs. Don’t forget to visit the farms, witness the harvesting process, and indulge in Kesar mango treats like mango ice cream and shakes.
Uttar Pradesh – The Langra Paradise:
Next, we travel to the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, famous for its delectable Langra mangoes. Varanasi and Lucknow are the prominent regions for Langra mango cultivation.
