Malaysia to Offer Visa on Arrival (VoA) to Indian Travellers from June 1

Starting tomorrow, i.e., 1st June, travelling to Malaysia will become easier for Indians. The country has announced Visa on Arrival (VoA) for Indian travellers arriving through Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia or Brunei, with a valid visa from either country. In addition, the Immigration Department has designated specific air, land and sea routes for their entry.

The fee for a Visa on Arrival is RM 200 (INR 3549). Aside from that, visitors must have at least USD 500 cash (or the equivalent in Malaysian Ringgit) and a confirmed return ticket. They are permitted to remain in the country for only 15 days.

Vaccinated passengers travelling to Malaysia are exempt from pre-departure and on-arrival tests, as well as quarantine. Unvaccinated passengers, on the other hand, must go through the mandatory tests and a 5-day quarantine, except those aged 17 or below.
