Good news for passengers travelling in Amritsar Shatabdi Express (12031/12032). The railways has replaced the existing Shatabdi train rake with the rakes like that of Tejas Express.
These rakes will provide much more comfort along with various luxuries at no extra cost. Yes, that’s true!
Also, the new rake will have 1092 chair car seats which was earlier 938. This increase of 154 seats will ensure a better chance at getting a confirmed ticket.

The economy class seats have been increased to 112 from 92. The train will now have 14 chair car coaches along with two economy class coaches.
For now, this arrangement is only for two months, but in the future the railways may replace the Shatabdi with the Vande Bharat Express.
New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express has 8 stoppages in total. The train stops at Ambala Cant Jn, Rajpura Jn, Ludhiana Jn, Phagwara Jn, Jalandhar City, and Beas, for both directions.
