Love Graffiti? This Indian city with its amazing street art will amaze you

Recently I planned a short weekend trip to Madhya Pradesh and what took me by surprise was the beautiful artwork displayed on the streets of Jabalpur. The colourful graffiti, starting from the railway station, was adding vibrancy and liveliness to the entire city.

Other than this, the city boasts impressive and one of the most beautiful natural attractions of the country, including Marble Rocks and Dhuandhar Falls. Know about them here —

Marble Rocks, Bhedhaghat

Carved on both sides of the River Narmada, Marble Rocks in Bhedaghat creates a unique spectacle. The place is best explored through a boat ride, during morning and evening hours. The funny commentary by the boatman further adds an exciting element to the ride.

See it to believe it —

Dhuandhar Falls

Counted among the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, Dhuandhar Falls plunge from a height of about 30 meters. The fall creates a bouncing mass of mist and a mesmerising sound that can be heard from quite some distance. It is an ideal place to adore the nature’s beauty and spend some leisure time with family and friends.

With some of the most unique and beautiful temples, the city is also a major attraction for religious seekers. Other than the religious aspect, the temples also display mind-blowing architecture.

Shiva Temple, Kachnar City

Kachnar City, commonly known as the Pride of Jabalpur, is most famous for its 76-feet tall Shiva statue. Under the statue is a beautiful cavern with 12 Lingams collected from various shrines of Lord Shiva across the country.

Visit the temple in the evening, and witness Lord Shiva under scintillating lights in the dark.

Pisanhari ki Madiya

Famous for its architecture and beauty, Pisanhari ki Madiya is a well-known Jain pilgrimage in the city. While here, don’t miss visiting the planetarium in the vicinity that showcases an astonishing galaxy when the lights go off.

Evening Aarti at Gwarighat

Similar to the evening aarti organised in Haridwar and Varanasi, evening aarti at Gwarighat is a delight to the eyes. The aarti starts at sharp 7 pm and ends in an hour. The best part about this ghat — it is surprisingly clean.
