The coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in India have increased to 76 with fresh cases coming to light in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka after the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had released an official list of 73 cases on March 12.

The country’s first coronavirus death was also recorded on 12th March. The virus claimed the life of a 76-year-old man in Karnataka.
The rise in the number of cases has prompted the government to adopt some strict measures. The visas of all foreign nationals coming to the country have been suspended till 15 April.
Kerala, Haryana and Delhi have declared COVID-19 as an epidemic, with Delhi also shutting down cinema theatres, schools and colleges till 31st March.
