In order to effectively deal with the coronavirus pandemic, Railways is now going to provide disposable sheets, blankets and pillow covers to passengers. This initiative has already been undertaken by the Danapur division.
This facility will be available for passengers at nominal charges. It may be noted that Railways has discontinued providing washable and reusable blankets, pillows and sheets in trains to prevent the risk of coronavirus infection. Similarly, curtains in AC coaches were also removed.

Search TrainsNow, the sheets and pillows that will be made available to the passengers will be for one-time use only. For this, the Danapur division has prepared four kinds of linen kits that will cost between Rs.50 and Rs.250.
These linen kits will consist of sheet, pillow, blanket as well as mask and sanitizer in various sets depending on the price.
After completing the journey, passengers will have to dispose of the used linen in dustbins available at the railway platforms. Railways is planning to provide these linen kits inside the trains as well as on the platforms.
It is expected that this facility will soon be made available across all Railway divisions.
