Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, several states/UTs in India have issued new guidelines.
Here are the updated rules for Karnataka, Assam, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Karnataka
The recent weekend curfew imposed in the state from Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 pm has now been withdrawn. However, the night curfew will continue from 10 pm to 5 am on all days.
Hotels/bars/restaurants/eating places are allowed to operate with 50% of their seating capacity.
Also, cinemas/theatres can also only operate with 50% of their capacity. Such places are restricted to fully vaccinated people.
Not more than 200 people are allowed in marriage functions in open spaces, while only 100 people are allowed in closed spaces.
These orders will stay in effect till 31st January.

Assam
The state has imposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am.
Dine-in restaurants/dhabas are allowed to operate till 9 pm with 50% of their seating capacity. Delivery is permitted till 10 pm.
Public transportation can operate with 100% of their seating capacity, provided the staff and passengers are fully vaccinated and follow COVID appropriate behaviour.
Public gatherings are restricted to a maximum of 200 fully vaccinated people.
Closed spaces: 200 people or 50% of the capacity (whichever is lower).
Open spaces: 50 people or 50% of the capacity (whichever is lower).

Rajasthan
Weekend curfew (from Saturday 11 pm to Monday 5 am) that was imposed on 9th January will now only be applicable in urban areas. However, the night curfew will continue from 11 pm to 5 am on all days across the state.
Not more than 100 people are allowed in marriage functions.
The hotel association and operators have been advised to refund or adjust the payment if the booking made earlier is cancelled due to the virus.
These guidelines came into effect on 24th January.

Uttarakhand
The state government has imposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am.
Gyms/shopping malls/cinema halls/saloons/theatres can operate with 50% of their capacity.
Hotels/restaurants are permitted to operate at 50% of their seating capacity. Takeout and home delivery are encouraged.
Marriage functions (in both open and closed spaces) can take place with 50% of the capacity of the venue.
