Before the winter season, UNESCO heritage Kalka-Shimla railway line has started a new hop-on-hop-off service.
Tourists seeking a scenic travel experience can enjoy their trip to the fullest by taking this 96-km train journey.
According to Piyush Goyal, now with the train having a Vistadome coach, passengers taking a Kalka-Shimla rail ride will be able to soak in the “aesthetic landscape”.
He also said, “the newly converted coach will offer railway passengers better vision through the glass top ceiling. Not only will the train journey provide views of the mesmerizing natural beauty outside but will give an interesting glimpse of a narrow gauge railway section of Indian Railways.”
This facility has been introduced so that tourists can see all the places with just one ticket. With this, they can board or de-board any coach of any train at any station on the Kalka-Shimla line.
A single day fare for adults and kids are Rs.500 and Rs.250 respectively.
