Soak in the eastern Himalayas with these new Vistadome train routes!
Train travel shouldn’t be all about reaching the destination. Sometimes it should be about enjoying the journey in a comfortable train seat, adoring the scenic view and sipping some tea. To provide you with such an experience, the Indian Railways is launching state-of-the-art Vistadome coaches in two new routes.
According to the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), the Vistadome Tourist Special trains will run between New Jalpaiguri–Alipurduar–New Jalpaiguri from Saturday, August 28. The train will pass through the lush-green Dooars region in North Bengal.
It will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The train no. 05777 will start its journey from New Jalpaiguri at 7:20 am and will reach Alipurduar at 1:00 pm. The train no. 05778 will depart from Alipurduar at 2:00 pm and reach New Jalpaiguri at 7:00 pm.
The fare for the journey from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Alipurduar Junction will be around Rs.900 one way. This may be subject to change.

The Indian Railways has also decided to run the Vistadome Tourist Special between Guwahati – New Haflong – Guwahati starting August 28.
