Under the free cancellation option, refunds are initiated automatically and credited to the original mode of payment. In such cases only the train fare refund will be credited.
How many days does it take for the train fare refund to be credited, once the booking has been cancelled?
Under free cancellation, the applicable refund will be credited to the original mode of payment within 7 working days (from the day of cancellation).
Does 'ixigo Assured' guarantee a refund if I cancel the booking?
In case of booking cancellation, only the train ticket fare will be refunded. Other charges like ixigo fee, IRCTC convenience fee, payment gateway charges and free cancellation charges are non-refundable.
If I have opted for 'ixigo Assured', what will happen in case the train gets cancelled?

Yes. ixigo Assured (Free Cancellation) is applicable on Tatkal tickets and the benefits can be availed on such bookings.
