The Indian Railways is all set to introduce a new weekly AC Express train that will run from Delhi to Pune starting May 23; the train would be flagged off through remote by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
As per a statement given by the Central Railways, “Inaugural special train no 02494 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4.25 PM on May 23 and arrive in Pune at 4.10 PM the next day, and in return direction the train will run as a special train 02493 leaving Pune at 9.25 PM on May 24 and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9 PM the next day”.
While train no.12494 will run every Tuesday from Hazrat Nizamuddin (May 31 to June 28), train no. 12493 will run every Thursday from Pune (June 2 to June 30. And starting July 1, train no.12494 and will run every Friday from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 21:35 PM and arrive in Pune at 21:25 PM. Train no.12493 will run every Sunday from Pune at 5:15 AM and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 5:35 AM starting July 3.
The IRCTC trains would halt at the following railway stations:
- Lonavala
- Kalyan
- Vasai Road
- Vapi
- Surat
- Vadodara
- Ratlam
- Kota
Moreover, the trains would have the following coach compositions:
- One First AC
- Five AC-2 Tier
- Eight AC-3 Tier with one Pantry Car
While, one can book train no. 12493 starting May 25, bookings for train no. 02493 will begin from May 22
