13.36 lakh free meals served by railways under East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction since lockdown.

Around 11.04 lakhs free meals have been served in Shramik Special trains by IRCTC Bhubaneswar between 2nd May and 14th June, 2020.

Similarly, 2.32 lakhs free meals were served to community people at different station areas by IRCTC, GRPs, RPF and different NGOs between 27th March and 2nd May, 2020

Also, more than 2.5 lakh passengers have returned to Odisha through Shramik Special trains till 12th June. East Coast Railway has handled more than 550 special trains from its jurisdiction from 1st Week of May.

The National Transporter has operated more than 3,000 Shramik special trains to transport the stranded migrant workers and also appealed to the state governments to allow railways to operate more trains.
