IRCTC has decided to reduce the reservation time period allotted to ARP ( Advance Reservation Period), Tatkal AC and Tatkal non-AC bookings, w.e.f. 18th September 2018.
The revised timings include a 15 min cut from the existing allotted time for all the above-said categories.
The booking window for ARP reservations has been reduced from 8 AM-8:30 AM to 8 AM-8:15 AM. Once the new window closes, passengers can continue to book their tickets through ixigo.
Similarly, the new booking window for tatkal AC tickets is: 10 AM-10:15 AM whereas, for tatkal non-AC tickets, it is: 11 AM-11:15 AM.
