IRCTC Has A Great News For You!

Come November and we have a great news for you already!

Indian Railways in on a revamping spree; yes, you heard that right!

No more scouting for charts, and yes no more finding berths using torches–Sigh! 😀

The Good News:

As per a massive transformation proposed by Indian Railways, Humsafar Express will have new passenger-friendly and world-class coaches.

GPS-based passenger information system, coffee and tea machines, and CCTVs are some of the perks with these new coaches. Wow, that’s big!

As per reports coming in, a new AC-III tier coach would be rolled out by the mid of November; the first series of trains would be flagged off between Delhi and Gorakhpur (UP).

Coaches for the first “Humsafar” rake were rolled out in June from the Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, in the presence of its general manager, RP Nibariya. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had announced the launch of four new train categories while introducing the Railway Budget 2016-17 and the “Humsafar” rake, which is intended for the middle-class travellers, is an exclusively three-tiered AC train.

According to a factory official, “The seats have been provided with better padding, are therefore more comfortable”. Even the upper berths have better head rests. That’s some move!

And that’s not all.

The new coaches will also boast of automatic room-freshener dispensers, fire and smoke detectors, curtains for side berths, and “graffiti-proof” gel coating on toilet walls. Besides these, there would be integrated Braille displays and laptop and charging points. Even the specially abled people would be able to travel conveniently. Well, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that these coaches will make for a great train journey for one and all!  The route that has been decided is between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur.
