Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has updated the food menu on Rajdhani trains from July 15th.
The upgraded meals are a part of the various measures undertaken by the Railways in its attempt to address the passenger complaints and improve the quality of food on trains.
Here’s what Indian railways has to offer for Rajdhani passengers travelling in 2A/3A or chair car (CC):
Welcome drink: Nimbu Paani (200 ml Branded Branded Nimbu Paani in Tetra pack) and Refreshing Tissue.
Morning tea: 2 Biscuit(Marie), Tea-Coffee kit with sugar, milk creamer sachet, coffee and tea bag.
Breakfast menu (vegetarian):
-Stuffed paratha, branded curd and pickle
-Kulcha chana, branded curd & pickle
-Besan Chilla with chutney, branded curd & pickle
-Veg. cutlet with finger chips & boiled vegetables
-Paneer-a-la-kiev with finger chips & boiled vegetables
-Dhokla with chutney and mirch, poha with chutney.
-Idli/ Rice Pongal/ Rava upma & onion Uttapam and Medu Vada with Sambar and coconut chutney.
Breakfast menu (Non-vegetarian):
– Capsicum/ Onion/ Tomato Omelette of 2 eggs with finger chips & boiled veg.
Menu for Lunch and Dinner
– Veg Soup (Cream of Tomato/ Veg. Soup/ Mushroom Soup/ Sweetcorn Soup)
– Basmati Rice (Plain rice/ Jeera rice/ Matar pulao/ Fried rice)
– Paratha/ roti (4 Plain Roti/2 Paratha/ 4 Rumali Roti / 4 Poori /Extra rice in place of Roti)
– Dal (Dal Tadka/ Kabuli Chana/ Rajma/ Dal Makhani/ Chana Dal/Choley/ Ghia chana Dal)
– One veg dish or one non-veg. dish (as per the travel zone)
