Indian Railways is presently facing acute manpower shortage. To overcome the problem, the national transporter has decided to hire employees on a contractual basis in order to avoid the long regular employment process.
Railways is providing jobs to the retired railway staff in heritage properties such as vintage coaches, signals and many more.
A railway official said, “Zonal heads have been authorised to finalise the number of persons to be hired against such vacancies in consultation with concerned departments and the proposed remuneration shall be commensurate with the general work schedule of such hired personnel.”
The process to apply for Indian Railways Jobs 2018:
- To register online, log on to the official website @ rrbcdg.gov.in.
- Select ‘Click here for New Registrations’.
- Fill the application form.
- Pay the application fees/charges on the web portal.
- Save and take a printout of the e-receipt.
