One of India’s most renowned low-cost carriers, IndiGo, is all set to launch direct flights to Istanbul very soon. As per reports, the airline will be using its fleet of Airbus A321 Neos for the journey.
IndiGo has ordered a total of 150 of these mid-range, single-aisle aircrafts, which can fly non-stop for upto 6 hours. The first aircraft of the set landed in India in the last week of December.
Also, IndiGo has already pitched in a deal with Turkey’s flag carrier Turkish Airways. Once it finalises, you will be able to book IndiGo’s signature “6E” flight to nearly 20 European destinations. The flights will be operated by Turkish Airways through Istanbul.
Conversely, passengers to India will be able to book flights coded “TK” to all the connecting flights within India through IndiGo. The services are set to begin from March.
