The airline has announced Jakarta as its next destination and will connect the city with Mumbai from August 7. Jakarta will be IndiGo’s 28th international destination, and it will be the first airline to directly connect Mumbai with the Indonesian capital.
In August, Delhi will be connected to Tbilisi, Georgia, Baku, and Azerbaijan, while in September, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Almaty, and Kazakhstan will be added to the route network.
This expansion will result in a remarkable increase of 174 new weekly international flights from June to September 2023. IndiGo’s expansion includes the introduction of new destinations, routes, and frequencies to meet the growing demand for international travel to, from, and through India.
IndiGo will also resume operations of daily services from Delhi to Hong Kong in August, which was suspended three years back due to COVID-19. These new flights will unlock remarkable opportunities for both business and leisure travellers seeking seamless connectivity.
