The ATM, set up in collaboration with the Bank of Maharashtra, has been installed inside an air-conditioned chair car coach of the daily express train. Passengers will soon be able to access its services.
Railway officials shared that the ATM has been placed in a designated cubicle at the rear end of the coach, which previously served as a makeshift pantry. To ensure passenger safety and secure access while the train is moving, the cubicle has been fitted with a shutter door.
All necessary modifications to the coach were carried out at the Manmad Railway Workshop.
The Panchavati Express runs daily between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai and Manmad Junction in Nashik district, completing its one-way journey in approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes. Owing to its convenient schedule, it remains one of the most popular intercity trains on the route.
