The Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of multiple special trains due to rapid surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

1. Due to operational difficulties and less occupancy, several special trains have been cancelled. These trains include Tanakpur–Singrauli special, Tanakpur–Shaktinagar special, Singrauli–Tanakpur special, Shaktinagar–Tanakpur special.

3. Train no. 02841/02842, Howrah–New Jalpaiguri–Howrah Special train, will remain cancelled due to lack of adequate passengers amidst rising numbers of COVID-19 cases.

4. South Central Railways has announced the cancellation of many special trains between many cities of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
