In a bid to ensure a convenient travel experience for all passengers during Holi, the Indian Railways has decided to run a number of special trains.
These trains will operate on important routes such as New Delhi–Darbhanga, Patna–Anand Vihar and Surat–Karmali.

Here are the details:
A) The East Central Railway has decided to run 14 special services between various destinations as detailed below:
> Train no. 05561 Jaynagar–Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Weekly Holi Special will operate from 11th to 25th March.
> Train no. 05562 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Jaynagar Weekly Holi Special will operate from 14th to 28th March.
> Train no. 05279 Barauni–Pune Weekly Holi Special will operate on 9th and 16th March.
> Train no. 05280 Pune–Barauni Weekly Holi Special will operate on 11th and 18th March.
> Train no. 03255 Patna–Anand Vihar Superfast Holi Special will operate every Thursday and Sunday from 9th to 23rd March.
> Train no. 03256 Anand Vihar–Patna Superfast Holi Special will operate every Friday and Monday from 10th to 24th March.
> Train no. 05271 Muzaffarpur–Yesvantpur Holi Special will operate from 10th to 24th March.
> Train no. 05272 Yesvantpur–Muzaffarpur Holi Special will operate from 13th to 27th March.
> Train no. 03251 Rajgir–Anand Vihar Superfast Holi Special will operate every Friday and Monday from 10th to 24th March.
> Train no. 03252 Anand Vihar–Rajgir Superfast Holi Special will operate every Saturday and Tuesday from 11th to 25th March.
> Train no. 05577 Saharsa–Ambala Holi Special will operate every Friday and Tuesday from 10th to 17th March.
> Train no. 05578 Ambala–Saharsa Holi Special will operate every Sunday and Thursday from 12th to 19th March.
> Train no. 05269 Muzaffarpur–Valsad Superfast Holi Special will operate from 9th to 16th March.
> Train no. 05270 Valsad–Muzaffarpur Superfast Holi Special will operate from 12th to 19th March.
B) To accommodate the higher passenger demand due to the festival rush, the Konkan Railway will run two Holi special trains.

C) Keeping in mind the recent increase in travel, one pair of Holi special services has been added between New Delhi and Darbhanga.
