Indian Railways is providing nearly 2500 additional services in the 200 pairs of special trains running till Christmas.
This decision has been taken to ensure passenger convenience during the festive rush.
It is to be noted that these IRCTC special trains will connect major destinations across the country on important routes like Delhi- Patna, Delhi-Kolkata, Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Lucknow, Chandigarh-Gorakhpur, Delhi-Chhapra, Howrah-Katihar, Haridwar-Jabalpur etc.
Railways has also increased the number of coaches in regular trains to ensure berth availability.

Book TrainsAdditional RPF personnel have also been deployed at major stations to safeguard passengers. Officers have also been deployed on Emergency Duty for the smooth running of trains.
Steps are being taken for the timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers. In case of emergencies, ambulance service along with paramedics is also being provided.
