A good news for train travellers! The Indian Railways is planning to introduce state-of-the-art, luxury coaches for Shatabdi trains. The coaches will be named as Anubhuti and will have a world of new features for the comfort of train travellers.

The luxury coaches will be manufactured at ICF (Integral Coach Factory), Chennai and are expected to be functional on prominent Shatabdi routes by the end of year 2017. The average cost of every Anubhuti coach is estimated at Rs 2.9 crore.

Seats with infotainment systems and an attendant calling facility

Some Tidbits
The new train is a latest addition in the list of other luxury trains such as Humsafar, Antyodaya Express, Deen Dayalu and the soon to be launched Tejas Express. The new Anubhuti coaches will have a seating capacity of 56 passengers and a travel speed of 160 kmph.
