Indian Railways is planning to provide specially designed railway coaches for differently-abled passengers in every train.

These coaches, right from the entry gate to the seating arrangements, will be specially designed to facilitate convenience for the ‘divyangjan’. Even separate arrangement for luggage compartments and toilet seats are being made keeping differently-abled people in mind.
Last year, the Railway Ministry had taken progressive steps like replacing the word ‘blind’ with ‘people with visual impairment’ and ‘deaf and dumb’ with ‘people with hearing and speech impairment’.
Railway Ministry took this big decision on the occasion of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s birthday.
