Another shock for railway passengers! Indian Railways is planning to increase the fare of Garib Rath by including bedroll kits in the ticket price.
Due to the increasing cost of maintenance which includes the cost of linen, the officials have decided to revise the price of the ticket.
Note: This is likely to be applicable in other trains as well.
Presently, railways provide bedroll kits in all its air-conditioned coaches and the price for the same is included in the ticket fare. But for Garib Rath and Duronto Trains, passengers can separately book the bedroll kit while buying tickets at the same rate.
A senior railway official said, “We have received the note and we are reviewing it. Prices cannot remain the same forever. There will be a review of the bedroll charges of the Garib Rath trains and they will likely be included in the price of the ticket in the next six months.”
