To cater to the festive rush during Diwali and Chhath Puja 2022, Indian Railways is operating several festival special trains on high-demand routes.

1) The Southern Railway recently tweeted about 46 Diwali Special trains that have been started between popular cities.

2) The South Central Railway has started special trains on three routes: Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam, Visakhapatnam–Tirupati and Tirupati–Secunderabad.
Here are the dates and other details –

3) The East Central Railway will be running a pair of special services between Delhi and Patna on 21st and 29th October. Here are the details –
Train no. 04071 Patna–Delhi Superfast Express will depart from Patna at 6:45 PM, and will reach Delhi at 10:20 AM the next day.
Train no. 04072 Delhi–Patna Superfast Express will depart from Delhi at 12:05 AM, and will reach Patna at 3:45 PM the same day.

4) The Indian Railways has also decided to run a total of 2561 trips of 211 special trains till Chhath Puja this year. Special services are also being planned for popular cities like Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Firozpur, Patna, Katihar and Amritsar.
