The total cost of the redevelopment project of the station is Rs.2 crores and it is remodelled with the most eco-friendly and modern facilities for passengers.

There is now a separate parking area and a green belt at the station
The facade, portico, ticket counters have been revamped.
A new air-conditioned premium waiting hall has opened at the Dimapur Railway Station. It has a capacity of 60 seats with a coffee and snacks corner for the passengers. The waiting room includes a vertical garden and a baby nursing room.
Interestingly, the entry gate of the station is upgraded featuring Nagaland’s tribal art.
The ‘Pay and Use’ toilets at the station have undergone a renovation and now have improved facilities for the passengers.
A monumental national flag is also installed outside the station.
