As per the plan, the current Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express, which departs at 5:25 am and arrives in Goa at 1:10 pm, will continue its journey to Mangaluru, reaching by 6:00 pm.

Similarly, the Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat, which departs at 8:30 am and arrives in Goa at 1:10 pm, will extend to Mumbai, with an expected arrival time of 9:00 pm.

However, railway officials have expressed concerns about potential congestion during evening hours at Mumbai terminals, as several long-distance trains arrive during that timeframe.

When it was first launched, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat recorded an impressive 90% occupancy, which has now dipped to around 70%, prompting the need for a strategic upgrade to increase efficiency.
