Good news for job seekers…Indian Railways will soon hire over 80,000 technical workers with salary up to Rs. 37,000.
This decision has been taken considering the shortage of staff which has been hampering several projects.
These posts will be for various departments in Railways like engineering, electrical, signal and telecom. These departments are important for Railways as they are key to timely operations and safety.
A railway official said, “As per estimates, around 25% of 3.5 lakh of technical posts is lying vacant currently.” This means that railways may have to hire for over 87,000 vacant posts on contractual basis.
The selection of candidates will be based on their educational qualification and medical fitness.
