Indian Railways’ new Rishikesh-Karanprayag railway line project aims at connecting major religious destinations in the state of Uttarakhand. The purpose is to make travel to the holy shrines located across the region comfortable.
Apart from making train travel easier, the railway line is also expected to play a crucial role in the development of the state. Recently, the Railway Minister of India, Piyush Goyal, shared some pictures of the first station of the Rishikesh-Karanprayag railway line project. Book TrainsThe Rishikesh-Karnaprayag broad gauge railway line project will have a total of 12 new railway stations, 16 bridges and 17 tunnels. The railway line project will pass through various prominent places, connecting Srinagar, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Dehradun, Gauchar, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli.
