Indian Railways has taken a major decision of making the mandatory catering facilities an optional service for the passengers of Rajdhani Express.
This facility of optional catering has started for passengers from 1 September 2019.

Earlier, the optional catering facility was implemented in Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express and Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express.
Passengers will now have the option of indicating their preference for availing catering facilities or not at the time of booking their tickets. Once indicated, passengers cannot opt-out their preferences.
