The Indian Railways has announced the launch of special trains and extension of a few others. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the expected travel spike in the coming months.

> The Konkan Railway has decided to run two pairs of special services for the winter season in coordination with the Central Railway.

> The Northern Railway has confirmed the extension of the following special services for the convenience of the passengers. Here are the details –
Train no. 07651 Jalna–Chhapra Junction Special will be extended from 7th to 28th December. This train operates every Wednesday.
Train no. 07652 Chhapra Junction–Jalna Special will be extended from 9th to 30th December. This train operates every Friday.
> The South Eastern Railway has also notified about the extension of the Hatia–Ernakulam Junction Weekly Special train.
