Indian Railways introduces ‘special diet food service’ for passengers

Indian Railways has introduced a special diet food service for its health-conscious passengers in an effort to provide the best possible services.

Presently, this service is available in Konkan Kanya Express and Mandovi Express trains. As per the canteen manager of the Konkan Kanya Express, the special diet food orders will be taken from Madgaon.


This service not only aims to help the diet-conscious people but also elderly passengers and diabetic patients.

Here is the special menu:

Breakfast: Brown bread and omelette (white portion only), grilled sandwiches, oatmeals, cornflakes, Dalia.

Lunch/dinner: Boiled vegetables, dal khichdi, sprout chat.

Beverages: Juice, coconut water, green tea, soya milk.

Sugar-free desserts are also part of the menu.
