Railways extends 12 popular trains; See list and dates

To boost connectivity between popular destinations and also to clear the festive rush, Ashwini Vaishnaw-led Indian Railways has decided to extend 12 special trains.

The extensions are for fully reserved trains, that cover cities such as Tatanagar, Udaipur, Mumbai among many others.

Following is the list of 12 special trains that have been extended:

Thawe – Tatanagar – Thawe

> Train no. 08181 Tatanagar – Thawe Puja Special will now run till 31st December, 2021.

> Train no. 08182 Thawe – Tatanagar Puja Special will now run till 2nd January, 2022.

These trains will run as per their predetermined route, timings and rake composition.

Udaipur – New Jalpaiguri – Udaipur

> Train no. 09601 Udaipur  – New Jalpaiguri Special, leaving from Udaipur every Saturday, will now run from 25th September until further notice.

However, train no. 09602 New Jalpaiguri  – Udaipur Special, leaving from New Jalpaiguri every Monday, has been running since 27th June.

Yesvantpur – Hazrat Nizamuddin – Yesvantpur

> Train no. 06249 Yesvantpur – Hazrat Nizamuddin Festival Special has been extended till 25th October. It runs on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. 

> Train no. 06250 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Yesvantpur Festival Special has been extended till 28h October. It runs on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.


Secunderabad – Agartala – Secunderabad 

> Train no. 07030 Secunderabad – Agartala Special, leaving from Secunderabad every Monday, will now run up to 27th September.

> Train no. 07029 Agartala – Secunderabad Special, leaving from Agartala every Friday, will now run up to 1st October.

Also, for the convenience of passengers, the Konkan Railway has extended train services between Madgaon and Mumbai.
