The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has issued an official notification inviting all interested and qualified candidates to apply for technical assistant posts.

Here are the details:
The candidates will be recruited on a fixed-term contract basis for the work related to the Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project in Jammu and Kashmir.

Total vacancies:
> Sr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – 7 (OBC – 5 and ST – 2)
> Jr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – 7 (OBC – 5 and ST – 2)
Salary:
> For Sr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – Rs.35000 per month
> For Jr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – Rs.30000 per month
Educational qualification:
> For the post of Sr. Technical Assistant (Civil), a full-time engineering degree BE/B. Tech (Civil) with not less than 60% marks from a recognized university approved by the AICTE. A candidate should also have a minimum of two years post qualification (work experience) in Civil Construction, preferably in the Railways, a PSU, or a reputed private company.
> For the post of Jr. Technical Assistant (Civil), a full time engineering degree BE/B. Tech (Civil) with not less than 60% marks from a recognized university approved by the AICTE.

Age limit:
A candidate should be maximum 30 years old for the post of Sr. Technical Assistant, and 25 years old for the post of Jr. Technical Assistant as on 1st September, 2021, with further age relaxation provided of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Important: Candidates with knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office will be given preference. Also, working knowledge of Himalayan terrain or equivalent terrain will be given preference.
Date, time and place of walk-in-interview:
> For Sr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – 20th September to 22nd September, reporting time: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
> For Jr. Technical Assistant (Civil) – 23rd September to 25th September, reporting time: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
