After railway resumed services, the government has given the nod to airlines to start operating from May 25, 2020. The flights will resume in a staggered manner confirmed Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Civil Aviation Ministry took the final call on the same today. Airports and airline carriers have been requested to get ready to resume operations from May 25.
All trains and airlines were cancelled due to the nationwide lockdown. The countrywide lockdown has been extended till May 31.
The move to allow flights comes after the government permitted the resumption of a few passenger train services from May 12.
