Exciting news for travellers! The long-awaited bus service from India to Myanmar will become operational from 7th April 2020. This 579 km long bus service between Mandalay and Imphal was in the plan for over 17 years.
The first leg of the journey will begin from Mandalay on April 7, and the ride from Imphal will start on April 8.

Search FlightsThe border crossing will happen at the towns of Tamu in Myanmar and Moreh in India. The entire duration of the journey is expected to be between 14 to 16 hours.
The new bus service aims to improve India’s road connectivity with key Southeast Asian countries. State Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that this move will help strengthen the bond between India and Myanmar.
Additionally, the improved connectivity will help promote other sectors including health, education and tourism.
