India is currently operating Vande Bharat and special permission flights to several countries under the air bubble agreement. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is constantly working to establish more air bubble agreements with countries for the convenience of the passengers.
India has recently signed agreements with Australia, Finland and Switzerland. We now have such agreements with a total of 34 countries.

Australia
India recently signed an air bubble agreement with Australia that allows the following eligible passengers to travel between the two countries –
From Australia to India
a) Indian nationals or nationals of Nepal and Bhutan in Australia and New Zealand;
b) All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders holding passports of any country;
c) All foreign nationals holding a valid Indian visa as per extant guidelines.
From India to Australia
a) Nationals/residents of Australia and foreign nationals with a valid visa who are eligible to enter Australia/New Zealand;
b) Any Indian, Nepal or Bhutan national holding a valid visa of the destination country. It is up to the airlines to ensure there are no travel restrictions before issuing the ticket/boarding pass; and
c) Seamen of foreign nationalities and Seamen holding Indian passports would be allowed to travel to Australia, subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping.

Switzerland
With this agreement, Indian and Swiss carriers are now allowed to operate flights between the two countries with the following categories of passengers–
From Switzerland to India
a) Indian nationals or nationals of Nepal or Bhutan stranded in any country in EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only;
b) All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and PIO cardholders holding passports of any country;
c) All foreign nationals (from any country in EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only) holding a valid Indian visa; and
d) Seamen from the EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only.
From India to Switzerland
a) Stranded Swiss nationals/residents, foreign nationals destined only for the EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa and transiting through Switzerland or spouses of these people, whether accompanying or not;
b) Any Indian national or national of Nepal or Bhutan destined for any country in EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only and holding a valid visa of the destination country. It is up to the airlines to ensure there are no travel restrictions before issuing the ticket/boarding pass; and
c) Seamen of foreign nationalities and those holding Indian passports would be allowed in Switzerland, subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping. They should be travelling to the countries in the EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only.
Finland
Like Switzerland, India has also signed an agreement with Finland, allowing Indian and Finnish carriers to travel between the two countries.
>Stranded Finnish nationals/residents, foreign nationals destined for EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only and transiting through Finland or spouses of these persons, whether accompanying or otherwise, are allowed to take the outbound flights from India.
The eligibility criteria for the passengers travelling between Finland and India is the same as those for travelling between Switzerland and India.
Please note that each country will have its own entry requirements in terms of testing, vaccination and quarantine rules. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines or refer to our COVID guidelines page before booking the flights.
