Up until now, the time gap between the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the precautionary dose was nine months. Union Health Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya took to Twitter to share this update. He wrote:
Indian citizens & students travelling overseas can now take the precaution dose as required by the guidelines of the destination country.
This new facility will be available soon on the CoWIN portal.
